The Adult Education Hour is every Sunday at about 10:15 am, after the English-language service is dismissed and participants have grabbed their coffee and cookies. There are a wide variety of speakers doing lessons on several interesting topics from history in the Bible to God in Hollywood. A calendar of speakers and their topics is posted below.

Led by Roger Newell.LesslieNewbigin was one of the most significant British theologians of the last century. There are very few people with his ability to interpret the message of the Gospel in conversation with the developments in European civilization over the past several centuries. - March 31: Saturday Morning with Tom Johnson: How to Read the Bible for all it’s Worth. Begins with coffee at 8:45 a.m. Join us for three50 minute sessions with Tom. Many will know Tom from his years of teaching and leadership at George Fox University in Newberg. Tom brings a lifetime of study of the New Testament and service to the church. It is a pleasure to welcome him back to St. Michael’s for this important topic.

- 15: HISTORY & STRUCTURE OF THE ANGLICAN LITURGY. Led by Ed Beals. We begin with the antecedents in Jewish worship and trace briefly the development of Christian liturgy to the first English translation of the Latin Mass in 1549 by Thomas Cranmer. Then we follow the development of the eucharistic liturgy in the Anglican tradition to the present day, especially as it evolved in the U. S. A detailed discussion of the structure and rationale of the eucharistic liturgy will be presented, as it is celebrated today, particularly at St. Michael's. We will include a survey of outward symbols, ceremonial and gestures traditional in Anglican practice.

- 13: With God On Our Side. This film takes a look at Christian Zionism, which teaches that because the Jews are God's chosen people, they have a divine right to the land of Israel. It describes a biblical alternative for Christians who want to love and support the people of Israel, but with a theology that doesn't favor one people group over another; one which promotes peace and reconciliation for both Jews and Palestinians.
